Life in Kosovo debates visa liberalisation

27 January 2010   This Thursday's Life in Kosovo features a debate on the visa liberalisation process and Kosovo's integration into European Union structures.

Is Kosovo the most isolated country in the world? How difficult is it to move freely for citizens who hold Kosovo passports? How should the political and technical criteria that Kosovo must meet be prioritised to ensure a faster entry into the White Schengen list? Is there a clear government policy to change the current situation on freedom of movement?

To discuss these, and others related to the visa liberalisation process, Muhamet Hajrullahu’s guests in the studio are:

Hajredin Kuçi, deputy prime minister of Kosovo
Edita Tahiri, Kosovo MP and chairperson of the Democratic Alternative of Kosovo ADK
Ardian Gjini, vice-chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, AAK
Luan Shllaku, executive director of the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society, KFOS

During the show, BIRN will also broadcast an interview with Olli Rehn, the EU commissioner for enlargement as well as a Justice in Kosovo report focusing on problems of judges and prosecutors.

Life in Kosovo is a co-production between Kosovo Public Television, RTK and the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network, BIRN. It is broadcast every Thursday, starting at 20:20.
