16 February 2012   Tonight, Life in Kosovo will discuss the achievements and challenges witnessed over the four years since Kosovo was declared to be an independent state.

Questions to be covered include: What are the achievements and delays for Kosovo’s foreign policy? Has there been economic growth over the last four years? How do civil society representatives see the political and economical developments in Kosovo?

To discuss these and other issues, Jeta Xharra has invited the following guests into the studio:

Arbër Vllahiu – political advisor for Media and Public Relations in the Kosovo Presidency;
Lumir Abdixhiku – Executive Director, RIINVEST; and
Besa Shahini – Kosovar Stability Initiative.


BIRN will also broadcast a report featuring assessments of Kosovo’s fourth anniversary from the country’s citizens.

At the end of programme, journalist Muhamet Hajrullahu will interview Shaban Haxhi, the imam of Restelica village in Dragash municipality, who will talk about Restelica tragedy.
