The report on Directly Elected mayor System in Local Governance aims to provide a critical overview of the rationale and feasibility of the implementation of a municipal governance system that places the mayor as the central executive figure, during the third year of its application. The efficiency of this system was assessed based on the following pillars: the relationship between local government bodies, accountability of the municipal executive, respect for the law, the link between the mayor and the citizens, provision of public services (water supply and waste management, capital investments (in school and road projects)), level of transparency, public consultation and citizen participation in decision-making.

Situation and the Problems at the University of Prishtina
Analytical report of research into the standards and problems at the University of Prishtina. Ten years since the end of the war in Kosovo, the University of Prishtina (UP) continues to suffer from a variety of problems, resulting in persistently low quality courses being offered. For this reason, BIRN conducted research into the problems faced by UP students. The data gathered suggests that, out of the many issues reported, the most significant are: the non-implementation of contemporary teaching and assessment methods, the lack of practical work for students, the lack of appropriate academic literature, arbitrary assessments by
professors and generally poor relationships between students and their professors.

Nje ide kish me qene e miresardhur nese keto meditje qe marrin te ishin adresuar te familjet me nevoja te posaqme, thjeshte te ndalohen pagesat ne xhirollogari si meditje por te kalojne ne nje fond te veqant qe te ndihmohen keto familje. E sa per qeveritar ata le te mbesin te knaqur vetem me udhtimin e jo edhe me medtijen se nuk eshte pazar udhetimi zyrtar, as shopping per versaqi komplete e plote e plote tjera se kem nje detyre me te madhe te krijojme shtet me vone te knaqemi. Une shpresoj se ky shembull do shperndahet dhe edhe shume kosovare te shkolluar do kthehen dhe kontribojne ne vendlindjen e tyre. - Ajo cka eshte me e mira eshte se organizatorja e ketij programi - lufton ta vendos ne pah - thelbin dmth pergjigjen e debatoreve e jo te lejohen "filozofite" pa fund te disa mysafireve. Veq desha te ju sugjeroj qe ndoshta kishte me qene me mire, dhe ne te njejten kohe me leht per ju, nese kishit me i paralajmru emisionet me heret (para se me u gjiru). Te nderuar ne programin JETA NE KOSOVE. Nje peytje te vetme Perkunder propozimit qe ta trajtoni faktin se sot po shfrytezohet XHEPI por jo edhe TRURI i Diapores - si dhe faktit se 500 miljone Euro hyjne ne Kosove nga Diaspora ju nuk deshironi ta trajtoni e shtjelloni kete problematike. As E-mail pergjigje nuk me kerkuat. Pse? Avni D. politikolog nga Diaspora

Congratulations on the great TV debate show, 'Life in Kosovo'. I live in New Zealand, so I'm not sure how to watch the crucially important debates yet. However, I do read the reports of each debate with much interest. 'Life in Kosovo' seems to set a fine example of free speech in Kosovo, and sets the standard for more politically confined media to aspire to.
