Suspension of the Memorandum of Understanding with Kosovo Customs
On 19th of April, UCC decided to suspend the Memorandum of Understanding with Kosovo Customs, as a result of a reportage that revealed how smuggled drugs by the Costums end at Kosovo University Clinical Centre.

The suspension of the activities of Conditional Release Panel
On February 27, Justice in Kosovo broadcast a report which revealed how the criteria of Conditional Release Panel, on the basis of which the panel members decide to release a prisoner, have been entirely violated. The next day, on February 28, the minister of justice and the panel members decided to suspend the activities of this panel.

PDK has been mostly fined for electoral rule violations
The Elections Complaints and Appeals Panel has fined PDK, LDK and AAK more than 12,000 euro, based on the complaints sent by BIRN. This amount goes into the overall total of 377,450 euro, which will go to the state budget.

Journalist Alban Selimi was awarded first prize for Corruption Journalism
BIRN investigative journalists, Alban Selimi, Lawrence Marzouk, and Petrit Collaku were awarded first prizes for anti-corruption in the category of television and print journalism. In the best journalists' awards for reporting on combating and preventing corruption in Kosovo, the Association of Professional Journalists of Kosovo and Anti-Corruption Agency, gave first prizes to three BIRN reporters.

Situation and the Problems at the University of Prishtina
Analytical report of research into the standards and problems at the University of Prishtina. Ten years since the end of the war in Kosovo, the University of Prishtina (UP) continues to suffer from a variety of problems, resulting in persistently low quality courses being offered. For this reason, BIRN conducted research into the problems faced by UP students. The data gathered suggests that, out of the many issues reported, the most significant are: the non-implementation of contemporary teaching and assessment methods, the lack of practical work for students, the lack of appropriate academic literature, arbitrary assessments by
professors and generally poor relationships between students and their professors.
